Q. How old do you have to be to join The Bodystation?
A. 16 or above. Members are allowed to bring 13-16yr olds with them but the children must not be left unattended at any time and must not use the resistance equipment until 16yrs old.
Q. Do you have to pay to park?
A. Between 8am and 6pm there is a 30p/hour parking fee on the street. Before 8am and after 6pm parking is free. At the weekend members can park for free in the Dean Clough car parks so make sure to take advantage when you are doing your weekend shopping!!
Q. How many times a week can you use the bronze membership?
A. The bronze membership has no visit restrictions. You can visit the club as many times a week as you like on this membership although if you visit more than twice your gym costs will be slightly higher overall than if you take out the monthly silver membership.
Q. How long can you stay for?
A. There are no time restrictions on your visit to The Bodystation although it is not advisable to train for longer than 1.5 - 2 hours as your body will become catabolic (break muscle down for energy) and this will have a negative effect on your training goals.
Q. Do you have to be a member to use the gym?
A. Guests are welcome to The Bodystation. You don’t have to be a member to use the facilities. We charge £4.00 per visit so it is more cost effective to become a member. For those just visiting or working in the area it is ideal to be able to use a gym and not have to join. Also, it is a good way to see if you like The Bodystation before you commit to joining us.
Q. I don’t want a long-term contract. Do you offer non-contract memberships?
A. The silver memberships are non-contract. You pay for a calendar month, train for the month then repay us if you wish to continue for another month. If you have a couple of weeks or months off then you pay us again when you come back. No costly direct debit for a membership when you can’t get to the gym. This membership is ideal for those working in the area under short-term contracts or for those who prefer to pay cash. The Gold standing order membership is a 12 month minimum contract.
Q. When is the Private Ladies gym open?
A. The ladies gym is a permanent facility at The Bodystation with no time restrictions. Access can be gained during any of the normal opening hours. See homepage for The Bodystation opening hours.
Q. Do you have to have an induction?
A. It is not a requirement to have an induction but it is advisable to book an induction if you have not exercised for a long time or if you are unfamiliar with gym equipment. If you do not wish to have an induction you will be asked to sign a disclaimer stating that you are training at your own risk.
